Meet the Grower: Jenga Farms

Meet the Denys Family:  Jeff and Gail Denys, Dylan Denys

Jenga Farms Ltd.
Wallaceburg, Ontario

The Denys Family started farming in Canada in 1940, after Jeff’s dad immigrated from Holland. Both Jeff and Gail’s families were farmers and they have raised four children who all have a passion for farming. Jeff and Gail still operate the original home farm and have further expanded operations to 400 acres. In 1992, they established Jenga Farms Ltd. in the Tupperville area. They retired from growing vegetables in 2018 and are now a cash crop farm focusing on soil health and making the most of the land using cover crops and biologicals. Dylan is the third Denys generation now farming the land. Dylan, also a stationary engineer at Suncor, keeps busy on the family farm on his days off.

The Denys family enjoy working with Dover corn because they are a family run business that continues to expand their company and help out local farmers. It’s nice having a personal touch with Dover Corn management and the ability to still talking directly to the owners. The added bonus is knowing their corn is going into a premium product that they eat everyday.
